Baltimore Equitable CDN Organizer

The Baltimore Organizer will work alongside the Executive Director to lead our work in Baltimore city. CDN is seeking an individual with proven skills in community organizing, community development, planning, real estate development and/or health. Community Faith and Justice Organizer

The Community Faith and Justice Organizer is responsible for engaging a wide range of EBHO’s members in campaigns for housing justice.  About a third of the Organizer’s time will be spent coordinating EBHO's Faith and Justice Committee, an initiative to broaden and deepen the engagement of faith-based organizations and leaders as well as other social justice advocates for affordable housing for the lowest income communities.  The organizer will also help EBHO members and partners take a moral stand on other intersectional issues such as presence and services for unhoused individuals, those just leaving incarceration and recent immigrants, among others.  Other responsibilities include working with our other organizers on outreach, recruitment, mobilization in our Resident and Commnity Organizing Program (RCOP).  This Program focuses on leadership development of affordable housing resident members and brings residents with lived experience of housing instability into EBHO committees and campaigns.  Preference given to applications received by Friday, June 26, 2020.

Housing and Civic Engagement Coordinator

We promote practical solutions to balance Pennsylvania’s housing market. We engage people with lived experiences and the organizations that serve them to elevate the dialogue for public policy solutions to Pennsylvania’s affordable housing crisis.The position can be based in the Housing Alliance’s Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, or Harrisburg offices OR can be a remote position located anywhere in Pennsylvania.  The position is for one year with a opportunity to extend longer to full time and permanent.

The Housing Alliance is looking for a highly motivated, self-starter individuals to be part of its Housing Capacity VISTA team, working on affordable housing, homelessness, eviction, and blight issues across Pennsylvania. The VISTA team will help the Housing Alliance build its capacity in working with rural communities and mid-size cities. The VISTA Team will receive direction and one-on-one support from the Housing Alliance staff but must be able to work independently, communicate effectively and compassionately with members of the Pennsylvania’s communities, and work independently. One VISTA member will work from the Housing Alliance’s Pittsburgh office and one will work from the Philadelphia office. VISTAs serve full-time for one year, beginning on September 8, 2020.
